Fresas con creama (strawberries with cream)
When traveling the world, besides performing cultural activities and going to the must see attractions what else do people love to do? TRY FOOD.
From traveling, you meet people from a diverse range of cultures which is displayed in their food. One of my dear friends Alexa has roots from Colombia. Thanks to her and her family I am able to share with you a recipe that is sweet to the taste buds.

Why is this popular in Colombia?
Fresa con crema is a popular dessert in Colombia and is very simple to make. Not only can you make this delicious treat from home, you are also able to find it when you are walking down the streets or in most restaurants.
A lot of fresh fruits and vegetables are offered in food markets throughout the cities which allows this to be a cheaper dish to purchase or prepare yourself.
It is cheaper to purchase healthier foods in Colombia than fast food. Whereas, it is the opposite here in the United States.
